Cultural Sensitivity for Thanksgiving
Here is some information to help you with cultural sensitivity this Thanksgiving:
Adopt a Native Elder Program featured on BYU tv documentary Turning Point.
BYUtv's Turning Point documentary spotlights Adopt a Native Elder Program's humanitarian efforts. This is one of Nebo Title VII service projects! You can watch the documentary online:

We also want to let you know that we are still actively supporting this program, right now we are collecting oatmeal and Spam for the elders. We will take these up with us to ANE Rug Show field trip on Nov 11. We all need to help support or Native Elders!
Native American Perspective on Thanksgiving
The National Museum of the American Indian has published the beautiful 9-page booklet American Indian Perspectives on Thanksgiving. You can access the PDF at http://nmai.si.edu/sites/1/files/pdf/education/thanksgiving_poster.pdf
Adopt a Native Elder
As part of our Oatmeal drive for the Adopt a Native Elder program, we went up to see the Navajo weavers in Park City Rug Show (More info can be found here). I wanted to post these beautiful pictures of the rugs that were displayed, for all to see.
