"AISES is a national nonprofit organization focused on substantially increasing the representation of Indigenous peoples of North America and the Pacific Islands in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) studies and careers. In line with our mission, AISES provides multiple merit-based scholarships to our student members every academic year in the fields of STEM. 

The AISES scholarships range in amounts from $1,000 to $10,000 and are disbursed evenly across the Fall and Spring Semesters.  For all AISES Scholarships, Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Students must be full-time incoming college freshman at an accredited two-year or four-year college/university for the 2021-2022 academic year
  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Applicants must be an enrolled citizen or a descendant of an enrolled citizen of a federal or state recognized American Indian Tribe or Alaska Native Village; or Native Hawaiian or descendant from a Native Hawaiian; or Pacific Islander or descendant from Pacific Islander; or Indigenous person of Canada.
  • All applicants must be current AISES members at the time of application. Membership is free to all pre-college and college students and you may join using the following link:

For this upcoming 2021-2022 academic year, AISES has pushed back our scholarship deadline to May 31, 2021, to allow more time for students to apply.
