Seth is a senior at Maple Mountain High School. He is Ute/Navajo. People describe Seth as nice, loyal artistic and a hard worker. If you know Seth, you are probably nodding your head right now in agreement. He enjoys reading and drawing. His artwork has been featured in the literary magazine at MMHS and all of his art teachers consider him “gifted.” We do too. His favorite show is Gotham and he can pretty much quote the movie.
Seth enjoys Sushi and Italian but not together. His favorite color is red and he loves playing and watching basketball. Seth enjoys theatre and being a back stage tech, mainly with the back drops. This past year he helped with several productions at Maple Mountain.
He enjoys the time he spends with friends. He likes to hang out and try new things. He wants to go into animation when he graduates. He also would like to travel the world before he dies and most likely will if he continues with his art endeavors. Seth has so many opportunities awaiting him. His future looks bright. Jonathan Pierce is a senior at Spanish Fork High School. He has split his time this year between there and ALC in Springville. Where ever he is, people describe him as someone who can light up the place with his smile, sense of humor and kindness. He loves to go hiking and running. His favorite show is an anime called “Fairy Tail.”
Jonathan puts honey on everything. He loves the color combination of black and gold. He also likes to play soccer when he has time. He is very creative and loves 3D animation. His favorite memory from highschool was winning a trophy at the knowledge bowl. He would like to go to the University of Utah after getting his associates at Utah Valley University.
He likes to make everyone he meets smile and his favorite quotes is “Stories don't just happen for you, they are meant to be shared with others,” and, “The game is already over, but we will be friends forever.” -Chad Lewis. Jonathan is very proud of his Native American ancestry and breaks the stereotype of what a “native,” should look like. We are proud of him and his hard work. His zest for life and his will to finish what he starts will take him far in life.
Callie is a senior at Spanish Fork High School. She is Alakan Native/Dine’. People would describe Callie as an adventurer and having wanderlust in her veins, she is always searching for her next adventure. And, she is willing to work long hours to finance her next escapade. She loves the show Criminal Minds and food in general, she especially loves the two together.
Callie’s favorite colors are Black and silver. She loves to paddle board and be on the water and in the water. Her favorite classes are Math and Science, she even ate Mcdonald’s in her math class. After high school Callie wants to travel or go to the University of San Francisco and maybe fulfill her bucket list of free diving in the Maldives.
Her favorite quote is “We all come from the sea but are not all of the sea, those of us who are, we children of the tides must return to it again and again until we don’t come back. Leaving only that which was touched along the way.” Callie has many new places to see, people to meet and things to do. Good luck and happy adventuring.
Kimber Beyal is a senior at Maple Mountain High School. She is very organized and likes to get things done quickly. She likes to check things off her list and doesn’t like to be late to anything, especially volleyball activities. Kimber’s friends and family describe her as nice, funny and sarcastic.
She loves her family and cousins very much. In her free time she like to watch Netflix. Psych is one of her all time favorite series to watch. One of her “go to” movies is, “Italian Job.” Kimber also likes to “mess” around with beauty things. Makeup, hair and nails are just a few of her interests. Her cousins love that they have their own private makeup artist. When it comes to food, Kimber loves any pasta, yummy fruit smoothies and pebble ice. Her favorite color is mint green and her favorite class is U.S. Government. Her favorite sport is volleyball and her most memorable moments are playing for the Maple Mountain Eagles as their setter.
She is still grappling with what her future holds, however would to go to Bora Bora or the Bahamas one day and bask in the sun. We know that whatever Kimber decides to do, she will have the support of family and friends, and, she will accomplish her goals.
